Accreditation
Accreditation and what it means for you.

We believe you deserve the highest quality of health care delivered in the safest environment – that’s why Diana Plastic Surgery Center is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF), the nationwide program that is the leader in the accreditation of independent surgery centers.
When you see our certificate of accreditation, you will know that the AAAASF, an independent, not-for-profit organization, has closely examined our facilities, systems, policies and procedures. It means that we, as an organization, have demonstrated the highest level of care and safety in meeting or exceeding all state and federal guidelines.
Most importantly, AAAASF Requires that surgeons working in an one of its facilities are allowed (is it called "Maintain Privileges" in medical lingo) to perform the procedures offered at the accredited facility in at least one local Hospital. Other organizations like AAAHC do not require that from their office-based surgery facilities.
The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. was established in 1980 to develop an accreditation program to standardize and improve the quality of medical and surgical care in ambulatory surgery facilities while assuring the public of high standards for patient care and safety in an accredited facility. Today more than 1000 ambulatory surgery facilities are accredited by AAAASF, the largest not-for-profit accrediting organization in the United States. Surgeons, legislators, state and national health agencies and patients acknowledge that AAAASF stands alone as the program setting the "Gold Standard" for quality patient care.
So why is this important to you? We want you to feel confident that your safety is a top priority for us, and that we pay very close attention not just to satisfying your cosmetic needs but also to doing so in a safe and protected environment.
Although we aren’t required to seek accreditation, (many other health care organizations are not) we choose to because our goal is to provide our patients with the highest standard of quality care. Through the maintenance of the accreditation process, our Doctors and staff are constantly updated in critical safety protocols, to ensure that safety in our procedures is the foundation on which to build a record of exceptional cosmetic results year after year.
At Diana Plastic Surgery we require that our Doctors AND nurses maintain ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification year after year. Although we are not required to do so, we believe that this is an important part of maintaining proficiency in important safety protocols for the well being of our patients.
Having completed thousands of cosmetic surgery procedures, our surgeons provide patients outstanding cosmetic surgery results through continuing medical education and maintenance of accreditation standards. At Diana Plastic Surgery we always place patient safety first in the achievement of excellent cosmetic outcomes!
