So you’ve done your research. You know what procedure(s) you are interested in , and you have chosen to come meet with us at Clinica Diana.    Next, consultation time with Dr. Diana! Let the doctor know your desires and ask the doctor any questions you may have.

Note: If you are looking into having a breast augmentation, it would be a good idea to bring some of your favorite shirts as you will be trying on sizers and using our Portrait 3D Surgical Simulator during your consultation to help determine the look you want.

  • Mario Diana MD FACS Patient Representative MeetingAfter meeting with Dr. Diana
  • you will meet with our patient representative who will go over your options with you and set your appointment for your procedure.
  • On your Pre-op visit you will meet with a nurse and/or the doctor to go over consent forms, take your “before” pictures, and complete the financial aspect of your plan. Any payment is due on this date. During this visit, the nurse will review all your medications including your pain medicines for the day of surgery

  • A few days before your surgery we will call you to confirm your surgery time and to go over all your do’s and don’ts. You should expect to take about a week off from work/school starting on the day of your surgery.

  • Surgery Day! Hooray! Are you excited yet? You will need to arrive one hour before your scheduled time. You will need a “caretaker” someone to bring you to your scheduled surgery appointment, pick you up from your surgery and take you home. This “caretaker” will also need to stay overnight with you and bring you back the next day for your Post-op (follow-up) appointment. On the day of surgery you will meet again with Dr. Diana or Dr. Pittman and the anesthesiologist briefly. You will then be put under general anesthesia and prepped for surgery. The amount of time in the operating room (OR) depends on the type of your procedure you are having done. You will then be brought into the recovery room where you will stay for about an hour to recover before your caretaker picks you up.
  • The day after your surgery you will come in again (driven by your caretaker) for your first Post-Op (follow-up) appointment. No driving for you yet!
  • Rest! Rest! Rest! Depending on the type of procedure you have done depends on the “down-time” or recovery period that you will strictly have to follow. This can last from a few weeks to a couple of months of limited activities. After some procedures you will see dramatic results right away, while others may take a gradual time.
  • You will usually have several postop visits, although that schedule may vary depending on the individual needs.  Wow! Look at the new you! So sad to see you leave, come back again!
